We work with leaders.
Leaders like you.
Leaders who bring humility, commitment and curiosity and leaders who want to build an exceptional organisation where everybody belongs, and everybody feels safe.
Our leaders are luminary and want to create luminary leadership where the dei intellectual, emotional and cultural quotient is high, and sustainability is paramount.
-
The Programme supports leaders in building a culture to be proud of in which everyone feels a sense of belonging.
-
The programme takes a holistic account of all identities so that you can shape a strategy that ensures belonging for all.
-
This programme enables you to get to know your team and their value systems as they apply to DEI and then use this diversity to shape policy, practice and culture.
Does your organisation struggle with…
॰ Stakeholders questioning the tenacity with which leaders are undertaking DEI issues. Does it feel like the organisation really doesn’t feel luminary?
॰ Stakeholders only sometimes experiencing belonging or feeling safe to bring their full identities to the table?
॰ Having a mission, vision and values that do not always align with people’s experiences within the organisation?
॰ Leaders not knowing where to start with DEI work and do you secretly worry about the scale of what might be needed?
॰ Stakeholders fearing that things might be mishandled if the organisation goes it alone?

We Get It
You want to work with someone to support you on your journey, but you don’t want to feel completely hopeless or just be told you are getting it all wrong.
At Being Luminary, we know what it is like to see the gap between what people feel about being in your organisation and how you want them to feel.
We also know just how much today’s leaders want to become skilled and effective at creating cultures of belonging that folks can’t stop talking about.
Our CEO Angie Browne has been a leader across a range of settings and forged her experience of building a personal competence in luminary leadership (i.e. leading with a depth of humanity) in the school settings she has led.
How We Work
LISTEN
We start off listening to and engaging with existing narratives personally (if you are in one of our masterminds or short courses) or at the institutional level if you are in the Programmme) We use proprietary tools such as our stakeholder surveys to support this process.
DEEPEN
Next, we get to work, deepening your personal and organisational DEI intellectual quotient (IQ), emotional quotient (EQ) and cultural quotient (CQ). This is where you begin to gain the confidence to say what you have been nervous about articulating before and practising DEi leadership - in other words - luminary leadership.
ENACT
The final stage of our work is designing systems, processes, policies, procedures and approaches with generosity and safety in mind. We shape these into a personal plan, a CPLD plan or a 3 Year Strategic Plan and share our next steps within communities of practice.
Why the being luminary approach works
This is high-touch work, and we are confident in going deep with all of our participants. We never shy away from difficult conversations, yet we manage to bring warmth, trust, and the mantra of no shame, blame, or guilt to every experience.
We support you in realising the goal that stakeholders don’t feel a gap between their experience and the stated vision, mission and values of the organisation.
We help you and your team so they won’t feel stuck for words, worried about getting it wrong, or paralysed because they lack the skills to talk about their own or others’ identities.
In the end, your culture and luminary staff will become your organisation’s best advert.
